Our healthcare team is dedicated to exceeding the needs of patients and families. We look forward to serving you. As our patient, you will receive the very best care from our highly-trained and caring staff. You will benefit from some of the most advanced scientific techniques and modern, up-to-date equipment available.

The information in this section is designed to help patients and family members understand your time here and assist you with concerns and questions you may have about the hospital. We want to provide helpful resources for an enjoyable experience for patients and visitors while you are in our care here at The Richland Hospital.

During COVID-19, visitor restrictions are in place. Please review these prior to coming to the hospital.

VISITOR INFORMATION

Before arriving to visit your loved one, you are asked to contact the patient you wish to see. The patient may have appointments, tests, or procedures scheduled, so it’s important to know when this person is available for visitors. 

VISITING HOURS - 8:00AM to 9:00PM

After you check in with the Safe Care Navigators, please stop by the front desk to receive your visitor badge and for instructions to the room of the patient you wish to see.

CAFETERIA

Breakfast: 8:00 AM

Lunch: 12:00 PM

Dinner: 5:00 PM

* Vending machines are located in the cafeteria.

Patients Rights & Privacy

At The Richland Hospital, we’re here to help you stay informed and involved in your patient care, rights, and responsibilities. We follow all HIPAA laws and do not release patient information to those without prior authorization provided by the patient.

Overnight Stays

If you are staying overnight in our care, hospital policy requires that you use the hospital’s supply of medication for safety reasons.

* An exception may be made for uncommon medications that the hospital is not able to get in time for you to consume them.

Using Your Own Medications

Patients wishing to use their own medications may do so upon written order from their physician. No other medication may be used by the patient in the Hospital except those ordered by the physicians.

Medication Check-In

All medication brought by the patient to the Hospital will be sent to the pharmacy for identification, storage, and safekeeping. Medications will be returned to the patient when discharged. The patient’s physician may advise that some medications be discarded, if they are no longer appropriate.

Inhalers, Insulin Pens, Creams & Ointments

Outpatients (Observation patients, Surgical Hold patients, Respite patients, etc.) may use their home supplies of prescription-only inhalers, eye drops, insulin pens, creams and ointments.

Interpretation Services

Interpreter services are available for patients who do not speak English or who use sign language to communicate. For assistance with this service, ask your nurse to contact the Hospital’s Clinical Coordinator.
